Busy busy busy!
My my it's been awhile since I've updated! Normally like to type this stuff up at night but I've been that sodding busy I'm completely wiped out by the time I get up here!
Not sure where to start really. Play went fantastically well (we broke records for attendance and takings!) which is of course everything to do with my triumphant return to the stage after a two year leave of absence (what the hell was I doing again?). Just kidding of course. Disco Inferno rehearsals going well in that I can actually dance now so it's just a matter of not having a heart attack after the big numbers. We had a showcase at Touchstones the other week involving oodles of free wine and then a rather blurry night in the Regal and Bugattis which was rather cool! Rehearsals for 'Breaking the Code' have just started at the Lyceum in Oldham so will have to see how that goes. I'm rather annoyed in that I was contacted by the Shaw Players the other day to play one of the twins in 'Blood Brothers', a bloody good, meaty part - and I can't bloody do it! Gah, too much on and not enough of me to spread around! It's so strange how I've gone from having nothing in my life at allwhen I was down south to being rushed off my feet up here! Still, I'd rather be busy than bored. I think too much when I get like that.
Got another appointment with the therapy service next week in order to discuss more treatment options although atm we're leaning towards exploratory psychotherapy in an attempt to understand why I've become the way I am. CBT probably won't be much help as at the moment I'm pretty happy in myself and don't have a load of shit in my life that I need to cope with, just good stuff!
Uh.... other than that, just generally getting on with things. Work is cool (although not when pulling a 12 hour shift; I thought my spine was going to fuse) and when I get the little time I have free to socialise that's all good too!
Will probably ninja edit this later when I realise I had a point to make and completely forgot about it. Although maybe not as I'm off out after rehearsal tonight to drink gin and make merry with my good bud Damien!
