Ok so, here's the deal. January and February have become my two favorite months of the year now. BCC shows and the promise of the Children's show, followed by me getting my license are all happening in January. And then February, LENAEA!!! I am going to catch one of the squirells this year. I'm also going to really be missing Jacob. Last year was so amazing. Bradley and Jacob and I stayed up for hours discussing all sorts of things. Religion was the big one when they found out that I have not yet been corrupted by Christianity and that I still have a belief system based somewhat near that of Protestant Christianity....and I'm an ordained minister...from the internet...
But, we never got offended. None of us took any offense to questioning the others beliefs and reasons for said beliefs. We truly just wanted to know what the other person thought and why. And I wish it could have been that way for everybody on that trip. Our discussion soon got corrupted when Sonny and Sarah came in however. I'm not one for judging people on what they believe, but some of the stuff they were saying was wrong, hurtful, untrue, and wildly unacceptable.
When we weren't talking about that, we had on-going Aristocrats jokes. When we weren't telling Aristocrats jokes, we were talking about music, or video games, OR SPEAKING SQUIRELL!!! ACORN!
It was such a refreshing experience to be surrounded by people who did the sames things I do and could be as goofy or serious as we wanted to be.
And this year should be pretty epic too. Jeff (Protege) is going for the first time and he and I will probably be rooming with Paul and Bradleyboo.
I'm so excited. This year, everybody is even more connected than before. We all hang out with each other all the time now. I have become friends with Rachel and better friends with Leah. Isabela and I are like on spirit trapped in a sock that wasn't worn all day but still has that used feeling and so it's comfortable without being stiff or smelly or too limp.....that's what she said. (Totally did not plan that one.) And now Rachael and I are together and it's going really well. Opposites truly do attract.
All in all, i'm prepared for glory at Lenaea followed by the awsomeness of Lionel Hampton a few weeks later. Although, i'll have to be avoiding Ashley hardcore....grrrr....
Taylor is happy at the moment and has put most of the stress and awkwardness of life in the back of his brain. But i need to sleep now because I leave for Leavenworth tomorrow and will be there for three days.
