Don't even need to look too hard for sloes round here, but I did finally remember to go out with a tupperware and collect some! We had enough for two lots of gin and could have done more. It was rosehips I struggled with - but I did get enough to make a nice spiced rosehip brandy. Definitely will try that again next winter.
This is a... journal? Diary? I'm thinking more of a topic-based online publication of sorts. Where rather than rambling about stuff I've been up to, I talk about a specific topic in each post. It may be coupled with a YouTube channel, but that requires looking at my own face more than I'm comfortable with...
I managed to gift all but two bottles of sloe gin to folks, so at least we won't be drinking it all year! While we are weekend drinkers, we like a cocktail, so we have FAR too many bottles in the cupboard that we only use a handful of times a year. Plus we were gifted half a dozen different gins this year. People must think we're alcoholics.
No way on gods' green earth am I showing my face to F1 fans :/ But the one linked to my blog would be much more me-talking-to-camera. I see other people do it so easily and think I'd be ok, then I get asked to film a short video for work and redo it FIFTEEN TIMES because I think I'm blinking too much or look weird :/
EDIT: I should add the blog will be more of a life/advice style blog. So talking about travel, product reviews, adulting advice, that sort of thing.
They surely couldn't be that surprised by it, you do narrate the videos *shrugs* maybe just do that thing were you only film the bottom half of your face? I've thought about starting a film review channel on a couple of occasions - for I have opinions. I don't think it'll ever actually happen though. I've neither the time nor the set-up. I enjoy the wiki work but it can feel a bit monastic, you never get any feedback.
.... Saturday night cocktails could be a regular post, and it might help with all the bottles?
Being a woman on the internet with Opinions in a fandom like F1 is a recipe for abuse. They know I'm female (and one vaguely creepy commenter already turns up on every video) but the last thing I want is any comments on my looks. I don't want to be called fat and ugly any time I hint about my utter dislike of Max Verstappen. Whereas a less controversial channel - just advice and life stuff, probably more aimed at women - shouldn't be quite so scary.
I LOVE film/tv review channels. I'm literally watching an analysis of Friends right now, which I was never a huge fan of but heck, I just love reviews/analysis. So yes, do it. I'd watch.
Is this not a blog?

I tried making some flavoured gin a couple of years back but the problem is that I'm not a big drinker. Still, sloe gin is nice.
Depends on what the topic is I guess. You run a youtube channel now without putting your own face all over it. Did you have something in mind?
