I couldn't give up writing legacies for anything; it's so much a part of me!
BUT... Over the last few months, it's become pretty damn apparent that the simming community on Livejournal is just dead, basically. I'm 99% sure no-one even reads my chapters anymore, and I'm not prepared to put the amount of work in that I do, to get 0 readers. So, I'm giving up Livejournal entirely. Hardly anyone is here anymore, so it's pointless starting over on here. In all honesty, I think Livejournal has run it's course.
The simming community on Tumblr is still VERY active, so that's where I'll be from now on! It was a tough decision not to just move the Murillo's over to Tumblr, but starting afresh seemed like the right thing to do. Simply moving the Murillo's over felt like holding onto something that was already gone, and that's no fun for anyone. It's time to move on, and start afresh. Both with a new blog and a new legacy.
This is basically what's going to happen:
1) I've already finished playing the first part of the new legacy, and I plan on posting it on Tumblr on Wednesday. I was trying to get into a bi-weekly posting schedule on Wednesdays anyway, so it seems obvious to just keep that schedule as it is!
2) When I've posted the chapter, I'm going to go through my entire friends list on here, and PM everyone a link to my Tumblr. I'm honestly not sure how many of you still read my work, so PMing everyone is the easiest and most efficient way of making sure that everyone has got my Tumblr link.
3) Once I've PM'd everyone, I won't be logging into this account anymore. So, if you want to contact me, do it through Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook - I'm always on all 3 of those! I will DEFINITELY still read the legacies that I follow on Livejournal, though! I'll log in to comment, but that's basically the only time I'll be logging in here.
This wasn't an easy decision to make, believe me. It's something I've been considering for a while now, and right now seems like the right time to do it. I've been on LJ for 2 years now; 2 of the best years of my life! I've made some amazing friends through here, and even though it sounds cliche, being here and writing for the last 2 years has changed me as a person.
Like I said, I'm not giving up on writing; I'd never do that. I'm just moving onto another platform! REALLY hope to see you guys there!!!
