religion was spawned of fear, nobody knows what happens when you die and they simply could not accept the possibility that death is like a faint that you never wake from. then suddenly these people had all the answers, so the fearful sheep began flocking to their shepherds. Its retarded, why fear the inevitable? Youre going to die whether or not you know what happens after death (which you cant), the only way to know what happens is to die, so if youre so curious the easy solution is to kill yourself, and whatever happens is going to happen, whether youre religious or not. If god expects you to pick the right religion out of so many, then he is a douchebag. what if you live a good christian life and you reach the gates of heaven and theyre like "whoops sorry, youre not muslum and you didnt blow yourself and 30 other people up so no virgins for you! ill tell allah you said hi though

i wasnt aware i was quoting anything, people that are afraid turn to religion as an escape, and many cling to it,much like people use drugs as an escape from their problems.

an opiate is a prescription form of opium, and what i meant by my statement was that when youre on heroin its as if youre half in a dream and half in this world. Much like people are with religion, going to church and learning about all of these things that are, as far as we can prove, are in a dream world, and revolving their lives around it. Dedicating their life to a fantasy.

i tend to think for myself instead of reading and quoting other peoples ideas, you should try it some time :)
