Not that there's anything new about that, but I just read
this, and I wanted to scream. Because the only way this talk radio guy judges women is on their looks and any woman who disagrees with him is automatically ugly. And not just ugly, but "really ugly" and "looks like a man" (though what that says about men, I'm not really sure).
He does have a point about NOW's membership, even if I don't trust his actual numbers farther than I can throw them. NOW's too small. Far more women benefit from NOW's work, even if NOW isn't on the forefront of intersectionality and truly progressive feminist actions, than are actually members. I think you can
join NOW for like $15-$35. I just renewed and sent an email explaining that NOW can thank Mark Levin for being a jerk for my renewal.
