wow so I was planning to keep up with this better and tell you all about my adventures at the day job...  I forgot how exhausted it would make me.  XD  but yeah, swim program is done.  I'm very pleased; my problem child (who I've had for the past three summers) FINALLY leveled up to lv 2!  Mission accomplished!

And then, my birthday was Wednesday.  My dad was on a business trip the day of, tho, so we celebrated Tuesday instead.  Went to Black Bear Diner for dinner and opened my presents.  Got some Doctor Who (the special episodes between seasons 4 and 5), got some leather vests, and GOT A MOTHERFUCKING BEAUTIFUL SHINY NEW HD DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA.  8D  which I have named Roranicus. I AM SET FOR MOVIEMAKING MOTHERFUCKER.  NO STOPPING ME NOW.  and then we were too tired to do cake, so we did that thursday instead, when my dad got home.  XD  We dragged out my birthday for three days, it was AWESOME.  8)

and today, Saturday, I went to a gig at a San Francisco bar with a friend of mine.  A couple of different bands played.  The Stamps went first, they were pretty good.  I really liked the second and third bands,  Tommy and the High Pilots, and Sparks the Rescue.   Ludo was the headliner.  I reeeeeeally liked Tommy and the High Pilots.  :)  Their lead singer actually came out and played with Ludo on bass.  and it was a really tiny show, there was maybe forty people there.  My friend and I were right up front and it was kind of packed.  I actually ended up sitting on the steps up to the stage because the girl behind me was in a wheelchair and I didn't want to block her view.  Then Ludo made everyone stand up and do this stupid dance thing which made me lose my balance and nearly fall on top of the poor girl.  But yeah, it was really tiny and intimate and we got to talk with the band members.  Bought all three of the High Pilots' CDs and their lead singer guy, Tom, signed them all for me.  :)  He was really sweet and funny, and cute too!

on the way back to the BART station, we stopped at Rasputins.  I am going to be irritable about them for the next week because while they had like ALL OF DOCTOR WHO IN EXISTENCE on dvd, they had only one on Blu-ray, and it was one of the one's I got for my birthday.  so I didn't buy anymore.  GRR.  GRR, RASPUTINS, GRR.  I'm going to have to drag my dad to Frys, since apparently that's the only place that sells Doctor Who on Blu-ray around here.

*le sigh* so tired...  hum what else should I blather about... working out a schedule to finish all my fanfic projects...should have time to work on those now that work is done... and I'm setting up a schedule for The Wild Hunt.  Finish the script this summer, pre-production through fall, winter, and spring, and we should be set to film by next summer.  uhhh... I think that's it for now... ta, my loverlies!

friends, music, reminiscences, the day job, the wild hunt, writer on writing
