Tom Petty IS my personal Jesus...
OK so some people might get their feathers ruffled with that subject but do ask me if i care......
TOM PETTY WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I can not describe into words how great the show was. It was like a religious experience.
I went with my parental units, my dad is the one that got me into Tom Petty, he played his music to me when i was a baby..so my love for Tom runs deep.
Anywhos we got caught in traffic thanks to road work...but we did get to the Palace at like 5pm, ran in and picked up our tickets for the box office. and preceded to happy dance waiting to be let in. And get this because my mom is handicapped they had to take us to our seat a different way then all the stairs...guess what way they take you? BACKSTAGE!! RIGHT passed the dressing rooms!!! my heart stopped when i realized. I ran my hand over every box that was marked with the heatbreakers logo that i could. No i didn't see Tom or anyone but just to be that close to him to know only a door separated him and i was cool.
I meet Christen and Krystal before the show which was really cool and fun.
Steve Windwood was the opening act...and yeah...he can play guitar when he plays it but he mostly played the piano...so i was board..and lets face it I WANTED TOM!!....I was really getting annoyed with Steve's show though because he had these purple lights that they didn't angel right or something, because they kept hitting me and everyone else it seemed RIGHT in the eyes...and it hurt like hell..my dad and i got laughing so hard over it i was crying. All i could think of was that one Invader Zim episode were he gets lost in the city and tries to navigate using the sun and burns his eyes. "I'll just wait till the skin grows back over my eye balls.." lol
We were row 13 which was ALOT closer then i had thought it was going to be, he was RIGHT there! (tom i mean) I WISH I WOULD HAVE HADE MY CAMERA!! the shot i could have got...it makes me cry...But TOm was in such a great mood, we was laughing and Smiling ...gods that smile and he danced! so YAY.
He play just about all of my favs..all the standards. plus Honey Bee, and Face in the crowd...i would of like Yer So bad just once but im not complaining. I just cant tell you how cool that show was! the only way it could have been better is if we were front row or i meet him lol. when the lights hit his hair..it was like an angle....
Ok i could babble on forever but i will stop....for now...i might say more about tom latter...but now i need to catch up on email and finish watching Pirates 2...YAY for johnny as Jack lol...
