Biting the Bullet

...okay, everyone. This is the hard post, and I keep trying to 'prepare' for it and then never doing anything about it, so I'm just going to lay it out here. I'm dropping Fred Burkle here, which means I'm dropping out of Taxon entirely.

I don't want to, but I seem to have hit RP burnout. When I take a month-long hiatus and hitting tags a week later for any of my characters is getting difficult, it's time to take a step or two back. Especially since there's a few IRL things I need to focus on heavily right now, and I appear to be using RP as a distraction excuse. Because Fred's the only of my current characters not to be entangled in major plot, she gets the axe first. Sorry, Fred. That being said, apologies to anyone who was hoping to have her around for something. Hope I'm not making it rough on anybody.

I'd like to think she'd leave all her notebooks- the ones she's always writing in. These are college composition notebooks, and they'd have LOTS of details about Taxon itself, especially how to 'hack' the map somewhat and get it to offset one's position. She'd also have a lot of notes on the space-time distortion meter she was intending on building. I don't know if there's anyone around that'd be able to decipher that, but people are free to try, if they get a chance at it. They'll be in her room at the Hyperion, so I imagine Angel will be in charge of those. If any of that stuff becomes a plot point and you guys want to know more, feel free to email me at eliada [at] gmail [dot] com. I've got...er, actual notes on a lot of stuff. -___-;

Taxon has been one of my very favorite communities (the other was one I modded, and I admit I'm biased there), and I feel like I haven't used it like I could've. Maybe sometime in the future I can come back and play like I always wanted to, once I've got my health all settled (er, something resembling settled, anyway) and my writing mojo back.

The players here are an exceptional sort of people. I hope you all continue writing wonderful things with your extremely interesting variety of characters and your evolving city. I might continue reading posts, even, if you don't mind me watching threads too much? >_>; Feel free to keep in touch (if you want) via my personal journal notcrazy_honest, and I wish you guys all the best. <3
