Helen turned from the window, a small wince emitting from her as she moved. She could hear the concern in his voice and felt a little bad for causing worry. But as for answering his question? She didn't know the answer to that herself. Physically, barring bruising and her ribs, she was fine. Emotionally also, but waking up with over a century of new information? Or rather wondering how that fit in with everything that had happened in Taxon - and a lot had happened - that was the troubling part.
"I am." She was trying now to keep the pain from her voice as much as possible, which was easier when she didn't move. Or breathe. "I apologise for any worry that I caused, I wasn't aware that the tablet was on."
Helen ignored the first part of his reply. She would be all right - her injuries would heal.
"I wouldn't exactly call it distress." Not this time, anyway, not like last time. "Confusion, perhaps." She may have to ask Martha about this; it sounded similar to something that she'd described once before.
Unless Mayland could help her first. "Do you know anything of the phenomenons that occur here? Particularly those regarding memories?" It was hard to describe so if he gained anything from that he was doing well.
Long purses his lips. "If you're speaking of a 'phenomenon' outside the usual glitches, I'm not personally familiar with them, no. I am aware that sometimes people seem to 'freeze' in location as it were, then come back to themselves."
"What about coming back with additional memories?" That part was the key, but really anything new that she learned was something that she didn't know before.
Long pauses, head cocked to the side as he thinks.
"I myself have not heard of such. But I understand that some of our repeat residents, such as Fitz, have left the city for a period of time, carried on with their lives, and then been brought back..."
Carrying on with her life? She certainly had done that. Nikola was fine, she'd managed to save him and her life had certainly continued since then... a lot of her life.
But this wasn't a repeat case - she hadn't gone anywhere, she hadn't arrived back into the Sanctuary. It was similar but not enough.
"Thank you. I'll make certain to ask Firz about it." It was a start.
"Helen? Are you quite alright?"

"I dislike the tablets' habits of broadcasting our private moments of distress as little as anybody, but all the same... May I be of any assistance?"
