Although the notion had originally been Fitz's, the aliens latched onto it and so the Extras took it upon themselves to do most of the building for the bonfire. As the day progressed a tall wooden structure took shape in Sanctuary Square, and figures could be spotted on the roof of the Sanctuary itself setting up fireworks. There were also vendors around the city selling bottle rockets and firecrackers for anyone who wanted to make their own noise.
Once the fake sun went down - around three in the afternoon - the Extras established a drum circle while the Dodgy Jammer's house band (consisting of one Fitz Fortune and a couple of Killjoys) set up their equipment. There was a grill for meats and roasting marshmallows, one table loaded with snacks, another with beverages including hot cocoa and cider, and a proper bar.
The atmosphere was in general celebratory, especially once full dark settled and the large stack of wood was set ablaze. Fireworks would go off from time to time from various corners of the square, with the big display later in the evening. Have a blast, citizens!
OOC - Why yes it is another party post. Come and eat, drink, dance, be merry, toss things into the fire, mingle, make it a night to ever remember.
