[ The backdrop of sakura trees and manicured shrubbery indicate that Puck's found his way to one of the themed parks that dot the city. It seems for a moment like he might be sleeping, but then his eyes open and they're a little more luminescent than normal. He touches the base of the tree and from that spot, a sudden sprout of flowering vinesRead more... )

"Oh, but then we'd be deprived of you, ah, talents." Fitz is being very, very British. Also posh and formal and pip pip cheerio and all that rot.

"I must say that is a dashed impressive display. How is it you've conjured this trick?"

"Then you'd better prepare yourself for disappointment," Puck answers. He studies Fitz on the screen, unsure what to make of the audible and visual discrepancy.

"If it's spying, then just call it spying," Puck says dismissively. "And as far as habits, don't think you'll be seeing this again."

"Pity, it looked intersting. I had no idea you were...a practitioner of magic."

Puck glowered impressively, but the truth as that had he seen something similar on the tablet, he'd have poked his nose into it as well.

"It looked like a goddamn failure," he bristled. But underlying the forced indignity was a real shame. "And you'd do better to forget you saw anything at all."
