Oh thank God - literally the first thing that flashes through Jenna's mind when she sees the transmission. She breathes a sigh of relief and immediately picks up her tablet to respond.
"Caroline! Are you okay?"
Poor girl looks like she'd been through a lot and Jenna knows there's a chance she won't remember anything, but it's still good to see her back. One more vampire on their side.
"Jenna?" Oh, well, this is kind of awkward. Caroline runs her hand through her hair, as if that's going to erase the look of utter exhaustion from what she's been through the last few hours - prior to the sleepover - away. "I'm - I guess I'm okay?" Not really. She's utterly confused. Why the hell was Jenna here? Did Elena know? Was this some new ploy from Katherine to harm Elena? Well, Caroline wasn't going to let that happen. She'd been beaten down earlier that evening, she wasn't going to let it happen again. "Where are you?"
Oh boy. There's so much Jenna wants to say, to ask Caroline, warn her about if she doesn't remember, but none of that can be said over the tablets. So she settles for other ways.
"This is going to sound so strange - trust me, I freaked out when I first got here, too - but this is an alien city and I'm at home. Somehow, I brought the whole house with me. Who knew that was possible?"
In an effort to calm Caroline down, Jenna reached a hand up to her neck and turned her necklace over in her hands. It had been given to her by Elena a while ago and it had vervain in it, to keep Katherine from trying to compel her. With any luck, Caroline would be able to figure it out. And if not, they could talk about it later.
Caroline's about to ask how the hell Jenna's home is here when she watches her reach for her necklace and show her. Caroline's face freezes for a moment, and then she knows. Jewellery. Vervain. At least Jenna's being looked after. But does she know?
"Elena's here?" The answer would be no. And the question about how Jenna's house is here slips her mind momentarily. Caroline's face scrunches up as she says, "Katherine's here."
Oh she knows, but it's not something that can be talked about freely, not on the tablets. So she just nods and rolls her eyes at the mention of Katherine.
"Yep, Katherine's here, too." Time to play up the cover story without freaking Caroline out so much that she blows the whole thing. "You should probably stay away from her. I don't think she's in a good mood."
Which is... putting it mildly. At least Caroline has a better way of dealing with Katherine than Jenna does.
"Well, if you haven't talked to Elena yet, she's here and she can fill you in on a lot of things that I can't. If you want, you're welcome to come to the house or I can come find you. The little map on your tablet should show the house's location and mine, too. It's pretty handy for stalking people."

Caroline scoffs and mumbles, "When is she ever?"
She can't help but laugh. "Had any success with stalking, Jenna?" She looks down at her tablet and sees the map. "I can't believe your house is really here." She still can't brain the idea of being anywhere but Mystic Falls, but usually when someone's kidnapped, you can barely bring your phone.
She smiles. "Are you sure? About me staying with you? I don't ... want to be a bother." She's not used to having invitations from Jenna, of all people, but she doesn't want to be a charity case, either. A pain in the ass, if you will.

Jenna offers an understanding smirk at the quip about Katherine before she chuckles. "Oh lots when I actually remember to look at it. I wouldn't believe the house is here if I wasn't actually sitting in it right now. But here it is and here I am."
The tentative questioning gets a warm smile from Jenna and she nods. In her view, she'll be very happy to have the extra set of hands keeping Elena safe, especially since the ones she trusts the most aren't here and the second best ones are currently keeping Katherine occupied, responsible for tearing her niece up emotionally in the first place. Elena might not talk about it, but Jenna knows how it feels. She knows it well.
"Perfectly sure," Jenna answers, shaking off her thoughts. "I'm sure we can work something out so you can earn your keep."
Caroline can't help but smile appreciatedly. Big, wide, something true and something that feels foreign from pulling smiles at moments where all she felt was anything but. "I - thank you, Jenna." Caroline breathes out a sigh of relief. "I can't believe you have the house here." She frowns and tilts her head slightly.
"I can ... come now." She was out of the arrival chamber, aware of the map, and she could easily run to Jenna's house in the blink of an eye. But then she remembers this is Jenna. With Jenna comes her safety back home, which means she's oblivious to all the dangers that Mystic Falls faces. Caroline's face falls before she remembers Jenna can see her. Cover up, cover up. "It - I'll have to walk, and I suck at following directions, so it may take me a while."

"It's no problem," Jenna answers easily. "It's just me and Elena right now. We could use your company anyway." Her smile warms a bit as she settles in back at home, tilting her head a little as Caroline continues talking. She wants to say that she knows, but she can't. Not yet. It's Elena's story to tell and it can't be told over the tablets anyway. Just keep up appearances, Sommers.
"However long you feel like taking is fine. And if you get lost, call me. I'll help you out if the map can't."

"I'm not very good at following maps," Caroline ducks her head with a bit of a laugh. She doesn't fancy geography and definitely hated her little stint in the Mystic Falls equivalent of Brownies or Scouts or whatever her mother encouraged her to be. Following direction wasn't something Caroline did well. Considering her life couldn't even follow her own direction, it felt a little like fate.
Caroline somehow finds herself on the ground floor and looks for the exit out of the building. She glances down at the map and frowns a little. "Are these maps safe? I know that GoogleMap changes a bit, but, these aliens - do they trick you through these maps?"
Jenna offers another smile, understanding completely. Sometimes directions are just hard to follow, especially here when the city is so big. She shakes her head in response to the question. "Not that I've seen. Just look for my little dot on the map and follow the streets til you get there."
Pause. Never mind.
"You know what, I'll guide you."
And she will, more to stay on the line with an obviously frazzled Caroline than to really reassure herself.

And now Caroline's feeling a bit tense - more so than before - at the fact that Jenna's not going to cut ties so she can zoom right on over. But maybe this will give her a bit of a tour of the city. The big spots Jenna likes. "You sure?" Dumb question. Caroline isn't quite used to being the one not in the know. "This is going to be quite the adventure," she opts for instead. She smiles. "Your left isn't my left, you know."

Jenna quickly scribbles out directions on the tablet, taking extra care to be specific with streets as much as she can. "This will help more than the map or me telling you as you go. Hurry over, Caroline, but be careful. Some of the locals are a bit... weird."

"Caroline rereads the directions over and over as she slowly makes her way out of the Sanctuary. When she's outside, that's when she responds to Jenna, eyebrow cocked and a rather concerned yet curious expression on her face. "What do you mean 'weird'? Are we talking Patrick Bateman weird? Because I think I'd rather have something on me. Just in case."
If so, Caroline really wishes Jenna had said she'd turn off the device. Super speed giving her away be damned. She didn't want to meet up with any of these weirdos.

If Caroline wants to use her vampire speed, Jenna won't tell her not to. Besides, she'll love to see the girl as soon as possible. And the quicker Caroline gets here, the easier it'll be anyway.

"Okay," Caroline nods, exhaling. That way they're not stalling and she's not obviously dawdling to get there. Caroline's never really been that fantastic at lying, not to someone she likes.
However, there's a problem if she disconnects. She can get there in seconds, which is a good thing. Caroline doesn't want to be in this city by herself for too long. On the other, what happens if something goes wrong? "If I need you, I can just turn this thing back on?"
And the other, what happens if she gets there too quickly and Jenna becomes suspicious?
