Being cooped up in the Sanctuary didn't do Rose any favours. If she was able to go outside the building and escape, then she wouldn't feel this trapped. (Besides, they couldn't run from a mob when they were trapped inside a city. There was nowhere to hide. If the ship sank, they'd have to sink with it.)
"He wants us to make friends."
He wanted them to make friends and she was walking out with her fangs flashing.

"It's not important to me right now. Who are you?"

The Angel Beast was worth listening to, even if you didn't like what he had to say.
"Drusilla," she added, light as air. "Are you lost?"
She felt lost. The air was buzzing with it.

When Rose was clearheaded and back to normal, she considered Angel a good, trusted friend. She wasn't in the right mindset now for anything now, so aggravating her wasn't a good idea at all.
"Rose," she said, supplying her name. "And no, I'm not lost." She flinched in pain, letting out a gasp.

Another wave of pain hit Rose and she cried out, holding her head between her hands. "Please, I can't..just make it stop.." She thought that she was going to die like she did before.

Her hand was pale. Her grip could shattered bone but, for now, it was almost gentle. She was too old to act rashly.
"Did the tin soldiers catch you?" she asked, "They put wires in my head. Wires to make me hurt."

The other vampire was surprisingly gentle right now-a stark contrast to how she reacted to Rose in the beginning. It led Rose to believe that perhaps something wasn't quite right with her.
"I think so," she replied quietly.

She felt like she was going to die again or just go into a vegetative state. Both of which would be impossible to come back from. When Rose arrived in Taxon she saw it as a second chance at life, but now she was rethinking it.

Her voice was a low murmur, reassuring and warm, but there was ice underneath each syllable if you peered beneath the surface. She was ice.

Rose took a breath and started to walk away, her previous goal of wanting to find Katherine still fresh in her mind. Talking to Drusilla for any longer would only be a distraction.
