Alexis couldn't help staring at the... enthusiastic introduction. She wasn't really one for that kind of performing, but she did play the violin. And it had been something she was still looking to find a way to practice. Still, she wasn't about to offer, not just yet. But she was curious.

"Do you... do this often?"

Kurt peers at her curiously. The question has him completely baffled. "Do what often?"

She gestured at the stage and the playhouse behind Kurt. "Sing. Audition. Perform," she answered. "Isn't it exhausting?"

Of course, it might just be watching one diva-licious Broadway grandma rehearse that was the exhausting part.

"Well, yes, of course. And it is sometimes exhausting, but it's always worth it. Everybody loves a moment in the spotlight. Even if they don't know it yet." He is looking very pointedly at you, Alexis.

"Besides!" He grins and places his free hand on his chest, "I have gifts, and it is my duty to share them."

It was hard not to giggle at Kurt's enthusiasm. "Not everyone," she answered with a smile. "People like my grandma, maybe." She tilted her head, thinking. It felt good to talk to someone her own age for once; as much as Dr. Reid and Mr. Smecker were helpful and friendly, there was always something a little formal about talking to them. And it makes her open up, just a little bit quicker than she might have normally.

"Do you need accompaniment? I can play violin."

"I have seen and sung alongside so many guitars in my career, a violin is more than welcome. I'm Kurt, by the way. And you should definitely come by." He turns the camera a little so she can see how incredibly empty the room is still. "Things are looking a little bleak here, but I thing some actual music should do the trick."

The giggle became a warm smile. "Alexis. It's nice to meet you, Kurt." She tilted her head and nodded at the empty room. "Are there instruments there? My violin wasn't on my to-pack list for alien abduction."
