[This confuses Stefen. You and all your fancy new terminology...]

What's a...a glee club?

A glee club is a musical ensemble that performs short songs, often an assortment of classic choral music, sometimes in competition. More contemporary clubs like the one I am trying to start aren't as strict about their musical genre and stylings and often just do whatever strikes their fancy.

It sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd know any of the same songs you do.

That's the beauty of it! We can all bring our own knowledge to the table and share. It's like a tiny melting pot of musical culture. I already have copies of sheet music for my song selections ready, even.

I might be able to learn some of it, if you've already got the music.

Then you have all the more reason to come. Don't forget, I also still owe you a little serenade of my own as well. And I'm not about to give either over a tablet.

No, I haven't forgotten. Should I just come up there or do you need more time to get ready?

I wouldn't extend an invite if I weren't already prepared.

Then I guess I should already be on my way up.

Yes, now stop dawdling!

[ He'll just be doing random vocal runs while he waits. ]

[...well, fine.

It doesn't take long for him to get up there, Rosewood in tow, of course. It's doubtful that he goes anywhere without her, really.]

I hope I'm not interrupting.

[ Kurt stops and stands to wave Stefen into the room ] Don't be silly.

[ He has CDs that he pilfered from the library, but a live instrument would be even better. He grabs some sheet music from one of the chairs and holds it out ] This is the music for one of the songs I've selected. Is it unreasonable to ask you to be my instrumentals this time?

I wouldn't be much of Bard if I couldn't play anything on short notice. So no, it's not unreasonable. Just let me know when you're ready.

[ Kurt smiles and signals for Stefen to go ahead, taking the intro notes as a chance to get used to the sound of the instrument so he can key himself appropriately for his song. ]

[Without exerting his Gift, Stefen can actually listen to the music, and he can't deny that Kurt is definitely good at what he does. A smile crosses his face and he doesn't bother trying to stop it. It's fairly obvious that he doesn't want it to end, but eventually it has to, though he waits for the last of the resonance of music in the air to die before he speaks. No sense in interrupting it.]

That was lovely.
