Kurt's explorations finally bring him to the 11th floor! Took long enough. After spending some time just acclimating to the new stage area, he is hit with something of a wonderful idea

Well, Kurt didn't expect this to go easily, if experience is any indication. So he's not discouraged in the least. In fact, he responds as if this club is the most obvious solution to every problem ever.
"Yes, a glee club." He pauses and, after taking a closer look at Stefan, decides to add, "by the way, the laws of the high school social hierarchy are moot here, so we don't even need to go that route."
"Glee isn't just a high school thing." Kurt resists the urge to roll his eyes.
"Look at this city. I mean, we arrive in a metal ball, and not even a Gaga-esque head turner of a metal ball. A plain metal ball, and that's as good of a testament as any as to how incredibly unimaginative this place is. People need art and an ability to inspire people and to be inspired. That's what makes them people. Every big moment in history came from an expression of and interaction between cultural values. I am just giving them one way to access that."
Kurt is quiet for a moment and his eventual reply is quiet. "No, but what we do with our time here could be. Regardless of how things are once we get home, I've come to realize that Taxon is its own little bizarre, arguably underdeveloped microcosm, and we need to define what that means to us as long as we are going to be held captive here."
Kurt is about to give his rebuttal but is stopped entirely by that anecdote. He opens his mouth to say something quippy, but changes his mind.
"Ah. Well, that explains a lot." Kurt is ready to end this conversation with the expectation that they don't need to cross paths again any time soon. And to think he thought Stefan's company was acceptable the time they texted. "That's why people adapt if they can't change something. And that's why I won't stop you if you want to continue clinging onto your microwave demons with the rest of the troglodytes in this town. Just kindly keep it out of my space."
Kurt glances back, somewhat sympathetic, but mostly withdrawn. The change in Stefan's disposition is kind of throwing him a little and he's not sure if he should bother continuing to try and push glee right now.
"You're not the only one who is homesick, you know. This is never going to be home for a lot of us, but I'm at least willing to make do. What's the fun in moping anyways?"
Kurt leans back in his seat. "Well, now that you've accepted my sage wisdom, does that mean you will give it some consideration?" Not holding his breath in the slightest, but he knows somewhere deep down that he should probably not be getting picky about membership so soon.
Well, that was more successful in the end than Kurt had predicted. He feels a little proud and gives the conversation a little more attention. A lot more, actually.
"Excellent! I will let you sit this one out and observe if you'd prefer. I probably won't have another meeting for a while, but I will let you know. And by then, you will have had plenty of time to think about what you wish to perform for your debut. Or you could do it now. I am not particularly partial to either option at the moment."
Kurt raises an eyebrow at Stefan's hesitation. "Music class also happens to entail singing lessons. You can do both here. No one is going to judge you for it." Well, Kurt might. But that should be thought of an as an opportunity for constructive criticism more than plain old judging!
"If it makes you feel better, you can even stage a private audition of sorts with me before I loose the crowds on you. If the chemistry is really that lacking or I feel myself going deaf, I won't ask you to sing again. But don't you dare flub it just to get out of this." He knows your sort, Stefan. Well, he thinks he does, at least.
