Elena's tablet switches itself on to show her sitting in the window seat in her bedroom - her bedroom, in the house she grew up in. She was doing whatever she could to not think about home. She missed actually being a part of glee club. She missed Mr. Schue, and Finn and Puck, sheeven missed Coach Sylvester - even Rachel (okay, only a very teeny minisucal amount). At least she had Kurt here now, and a job.
She was adjusting a red sweater on a hanger, when the tablet flickered and Elena's image appeared. She moves closer to the screen and can't help but smile slightly.
"I know how you feel," Quinn replies, remembering when the tablet had turned on during a singing session she had in the choir room. "Sometimes I think these things are out to get us."

It's the perfect distraction though, so for that Quinn won't complain. Besides from personal assistant, one could only go up right? At least Quinn promised herself she would. She couldn't believe she was already thinking of her future in this place.
"How long have you been here?"

She wonders if she should start looking for a job, too. Maybe distractions would help. But then she'd be spending all her time worrying about what's happening and what could and probably will happen, spend all her time at the job thinking about it, get fired, and end up back at square one.
"That's not even half as long as some of the others, though."

"How do you do it?" Quinn asks. "Stay here and not go crazy?" Because she feels like she is, or about too. Whenever she's not at work, she keeps thinking about home, and Beth.
"That's why I went for the job. I needed the distraction."

"I honestly don't know," she says after a moment as she looks back up at Quinn's image on the screen. "I guess I have too many other things to worry about."

"But hey - you ever want a job I might be able to pull a few strings."

"Thank you," she says, looking back up at her. "I might take you up on that, eventually. What do you do, exactly?"

She smiles slightly. She's been bringing baking in every morning along with coffee for Lex. It wasn't required but she can't help it, making a good impression is key.
"I sometimes bring in baking too. Luckily I haven't burnt anything yet."
