Well, he is supposed to be everywhere.

[ she likes you too, faith. you remind her a bit of a friend from home, which is comforting. ]

Demons, vampires, ghosts...pretty much anything that goes bump in the night that could be here or at home. [ demons are what she has a tad more field experience with, but she's obviously not an expert on the subject. ] I'm not sure how real vampires are where I'm from, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Me, neither. [ there's something a little sad in her tone, even though she tries to keep it light. she clears her throat a bit and moves on from the joking, partially because she doesn't want to focus on her disillusionment and partly because faith's just said something that she finds very interesting. ]

I'm figuring I should keep myself from getting soft, but I'm guessing from the way you just phrased your question that I don't.

Pretty funny with a name like mine, huh? But mom liked wine coolers and the 700 Club, so whatever. [ faith's voice doesn't get sad, but confidence for a confidence. ]

Nah. Been around nearly two years now, I figure if the brains back home knew about the shit they'd left behind? We'd be outta here by now. I figure when we leave, we get to keep pretty much fuck-all.

I've seen a little too much to believe that he's on top of things. [ she could be referring to the horrors in the world that aren't related to demons, or the near-sacrifice that would have lead to the world being ruled by the son of the devil, to what happened to her sister, any one of those things. but she'll stay quiet on the topic unless faith chooses to pry. ]

That's a depressing thought. [ but she appreciates the honesty. ]
