Because, once again, Willow cannot face the tablet network that is Taxon, she is making this post audio. It's clear from the way her voice cracks that she's been crying. She is officially a mess. It's not like Tara to disappear like this, which makes her wonder something she doesn't want to even think about.

Buffy steps into the store with apprehension in every muscle. She had caught the broadcast earlier and she wondered if...no, it couldn't be possible. She didn't want to think it. But it was hard not to have gears twist and turn and figure things out even as she walked from the castle to the shop.

"Will?"

Willow's curled up in a chair at the small table near the back with her kitten. Colette is helping her feel a little bit better by just being the cute ball of fluff on the table. Willow hasn't moved anything since Tara had the store, not even the pictures (one of which is of Tara and Ethan, next to the register). It doesn't feel right to change anything. Not yet.

When Buffy calls out, Willow lifts her head. She's obviously been crying, as her eyes are red-rimmed, and she looks about as bad as bad can get. The sight of Buffy is welcome, though.

"Buffy..."

She wipes another tear off her cheek and tries to just focus on her best friend here and not her missing girlfriend.

It does not take her long to cross the shop and gather her friend in her arms. Hugging is just about all she knew how to do, right now. Willow's tears confirm her worries and she holds the red-head close.

"I'm so sorry, Will."

The hug is appreciated. Willow wraps her arms around Buddy in return, holding onto her friend even as the tears start coming again.

"I miss her already..."

She's grown so used to having Tara always there, even back home. It's so strange not to have her here at all, like part of her's been cut off, and she hates it. She hates the hamsters so much.

"...We all will," Buffy murmurs into her best friend's hair. Tightening her hold on Willow in an attempt to let her brimming sympathy pour over and help. Anything to help.

"I don't know what to do." It's hard to admit this, that she doesn't have answers. A few months ago, she would've resorted to a lovely combination of spells to try to get Tara back, but now she knows better than to try.

"Maybe she'll come back..."

Or maybe the hamsters did this to punish Willow. After all, she'd been awful lately.
