It's a mess that Willow's been feeling deep inside her ever since their fight during her glitch. The redhead's on her way to find something to munch on when she steps into the kitchen.

The urge to turn right around and flee the scene is shoved harshly down. It's been almost two months. This is something she has to face up to.

"Uh... it depends on what you're making."

Willow hovers by the door, mentally preparing herself for anything that might happen.

She turns -- startled, at first. And then she looks even more guilty because it's Willow. "Cookies. Trying to, really. Mostly failing."

Sob. Buffy's not the one who should be feeling the guilt. Willow hesitates. "Um... d'you want... y'know, another set of hands?"

"Pretty much the end, minus the baking powder."

She steps aside to reveal the cookie sheet of failed baking subjects. Flat, mushy.

"Well, they're still okay to eat." They just wouldn't quite be the way cookies normally were. "But we could do another batch with extra baking powder, too." Uh... "If you want," she adds quickly.

A very natural, familiar smile jumps to her lips.

"I want. I definitely want. You and me -- we could use the BFF bondy time."

Willow manages a real smile, too, though it's pretty small compared to her normal ones. "I-it's been a while since we've done anything like this."

A long couple of months and a horrible mess before that. She pulls another cookie sheet up and turns around to find the ingredients, baking powder first.

She re-collects some more of the ingredients from where she had already put them away.

Willow stops halfway through the gathering and turns to look at Buffy, holding the box of baking powder in her hands nervously.

"Buffy... I know I've said it before, but I'm... With everything that's happened, all the glitches and other things... I'm sorry about mine. I didn't mean to blindside you with it. I didn't mean for any of it to happen."

But it had and now she's living with the consequences.

Angel's sudden soullessness is helping her understand the extent of the glitches and just how non-optional they are. "It's not a thing any of us can rightly hold against you, Willow. Not here."

Glitches are hard and Willow's still learning that lesson. She can't imagine how Buffy must be feeling right now, broadsided by everything that's happened all at once like this.

"I know, but-"

A frown creases her brow as she catches Buffy's word choice. "Not here? You mean the addiction back home?"

Yeah, she has no idea about anything else that happens, just what Tara's told her about their falling out.

"I...Will, it's not something you should have to worry about. Not right now. Not so soon after -- "

"I know." She says it quickly, meant to reassure Buffy. "I know about the whole addiction thing. Tara told me everything."

Well, not everything, but no one wants to really go into that, do they?

"It's okay. I mean... I'll just do better now. I have to."
