Here's the thing about birthdays, in Faith's opinion. If you grew up in a place that didn't suck, you probably dig them. You got one year older and everybody threw a party to celebrate that just like everyone else, you managed to get born. You're an inch closer to dying but screw it, they got you cake

Curious. What in the world could possibly have worked Faith up so much that she's beating up that poor, defenseless punching bag? She's in fine form, whatever the reason for it, and Eric is admiring that at the very least.

"I'm sure there's some innuendo I could make about stamina right now, but..." he trails off, watching appreciatively while she does her push ups.

"Wicked freaking hilarious, Fang." Faith's not stopping in her routine, and the snark has less concentrated bite than usual. "You come up with that one all by yourself?"

Smirk. He's not going to dignify that with an answer. "If you want to take out your frustrations on a living," so to speak, "thing, I'd be more than willing to offer my services."

Even though he's not propositioning her for sex, it still sounds that way. Eric's way with words is awesome like that.

"Yeah, not in the mood. Sorry, babe, kitchen's closed." So, she'll take that one as the come-on it sounds like, sure. But when Faith's in a place like this, company is the last thing she wants. Eric's... Eric. Funny as hell sometimes, great lay, cool enough guy. But she trusts him about as far as she can throw him, loyalty to Godric or not. And that's cool and all, but it means she's not gonna go running to him just because he gets his swagger on.

"Suit yourself," he says, with a shrug. "But you should know I make an excellent sparring partner." Yeah, he's still not talking about sex.

"However, as an alternative to this workout frenzy you've gotten yourself in, I do own a bar. So, if you're up for it, drinks are on the house." He doesn't offer this all the time, Faith, and you may not get another opportunity like this.

"Super for you, Fang. Still not feeling like company." Maybe later she'll get blitzed on her own, but being around Eric's not high on her list today. Too perceptive, doesn't give enough of a damn, can kick her ass. bad freaking combination.

He shrugs again. "The offer stands." And with that he turns his tablet off. He'll let her stew if that's what she wants, he's not going to push her.
