He’s always disoriented for a moment when he arrives someplace, body tense, wired for worry. What if he’d gotten it wrong? He opens his eyes, brow furrowed as he scans the room. Apparently this time, he’s gotten it very wrong. He’s supposed to be in 2011 New York…with his younger, stupider self

Which was why when he picked up the tablet and saw a completely different Peter standing there, he almost dropped the damned thing. "... Peter?" This felt redundant. It took him a minute before he could fully process the scar. Another Peter, from another world altogether. Thankfully, he didn't look like he was packing a gun this time. "Pete, what'd you... How..." Was he drunk again?
No, no, he definitely hadn't drank anything. He'd know. "Calm down. You've been kidnapped, but you're not alone. Claire, Parkman, and I are all here." Although he wasn't expecting all that warm an attitude from this Peter. At least he had one brother. "And... There's another you. From a different timeline."

Experimentally he shot a bolt of electricity across the room. So Nathan hadn't gotten around to taking his powers yet. However, apparently Nathan had the Peter that he was relying on fixing all this messed up world.
"Let him go. You can keep me, tell the world how you're cracking down on terrorism. It'll look great for your Presidency."

"Neither is Claire or Parkman. We're all just stuck here. We don't know who's plan this is part of, or why they're doing it, but we're not alone either. There were people here when we showed up, and there are more coming in by the day."

"Okay...sorry," he apologized for jumping to that conclusion. "I just thought-right so that's good. That you're off that course."
He started pacing the room he's in, not concerned about getting out of the room until he's found out a little more information.
"Just people with powers?"
His string map hadn't prepared him for this.

So he'd take what he got. At least this one was calming down. "All kinds of people, as far as I can tell. Some of them aren't even human. I'm not sure how many, or where they're from. I just know about you, Claire, Parkman, and the other you for sure." They were going to have to work out some sort of system with this name thing. It was an issue.
"And there doesn't appear to be any way out. Yet." The 'yet' was tacked on for both of them. "Start working on getting out of there, I'll come and get you."

"Okay," he nodded, pressing some more buttons on the tablet so that the door slid open. He ventured out cautiously, left hand held out, a small ball of blue electricity curled in the palm. "I'm out," he said in a quiet voice. He moved down the halls as if he expected to be ambushed at any minute, Matt's telepathy on full alert.
"And you've no idea who's doing this?" He said it in the same tone the parent of an only child and a broken vase would use.

He looked ahead over the buildings to the one he was headed for, and sped up. "The other you thought this might be The Company, but I don't think they have anything to do with it. There're people here without abilities, and not because they've had them taken. There's no reason for them to start kidnapping normal people." He knew he certainly wouldn't have seen the point of it.

He was still walking cautiously, at the ready among the hallways. "Unless they're experimenting on them...giving them powers."

He switched on the map while he flew, checking his location. "The way out's fairly easy to find. What's the last thing you remember before you wound up here?" Just so he could get an idea of exactly how bad the situation was with this Peter.

"Right. I'm heading toward the exit now. I'll meet you on the sidewalk."
It would be easier to get away outside if this was all a trap anyway.
"I had just grabbed the 2007 version of myself and teleported to 2011 to show him what he had to stop. I ended up here and he...isn't."
Which was worrisome because letting the 2007 version of himself wander around 2011 without supervision was akin to turning a two year old loose in Times Square.

"He'll be fine. He can take care of himself." He had no idea which one of tem that was actually for, but he focused in on the building he was coming up to. "He's a lot more capable than you think he is." Defending Peter to Peter. Nathan had a headache.
Although as long as no more Peters showed up, and absolutely no Nathans, maybe he could make this work. Nathan flew down to the sidewalk, making sure when he landed to give some distance just in case it was needed. This Peter didn't trust him nearly as much as the one he currently had with him, he was pretty sure it was required. "I'm here."

"Sure he is," Peter answered and he sounded almost convinced. Almost. He extinguished the electricity in his hand as he pushed the door open just after Nathan announced his arrival. He appreciated the distance Nathan gave him as he stepped out onto the sidewalk.
He nodded in greeting, obviously appraising his brother. "You look...good."
