...yes. yes this should go well. Were Anya to glance at the tablet doohickey on the pedestal thinger, she'd be treated to a very red-in-the-face Glitch with his hand over his eyes.

"Pick up the tablet, go out the doors, hatch yourself a...a big, fuzzy robe, and and then find out if anyone you know is here."

Points for efficiency, maybe?

Anya, unfortunately, does not know to look at the tablet, so she just looks around in confusion.

"Don't tell me what to do, you... you man." She spits out the last word like it's an insult. "Who are you? Why am I here?"

"Sorry," came the somewhat-cowed reply. Hey, raise a fella in a matriarchal society and he learns his manners. "Um. The name's Glitch, and I'm sorry but you'e been kidnapped by aliens to a city called Taxon. Ma'am."

It seemed important to tack on the title there.

...well, that was better. The 'Ma'am' was a nice touch. Mollified, she nods, still looking around. "You could have just said. Where are you? Are you invisible?"

"Oh, no, not invisible, just not there. I'm at home. Well, where I'm living." So many spacial qualifications, such little ability to articulate them. "I'm talking to you over the tablet, it's the little techy doodad which should be in the room with you."

She glances around and locates it, then picks it up. "Oh, look, that's you. Why's there a zipper on your head?"

After a few moments of fiddling, she switches to visual. Though she's still naked, there's a lot less of her visible now. You're welcome, Glitch.

That's actually miles better, thank you. He lowers his hand and smiles tentatively.

"Oh, yeah, hello. Um." The zipper is a bit of a touchy subject but he'll deal with it. "I've only got half-a-brain, back in my world I'd be called a headcase. S-so the zipper's to let people know...about that. Who're you?"

Just trying to even the odds here.

"Anya." She nods at him. "I've done that curse before. There wasn't a zipper, though. Or much lucidity. Or movement. It was pretty horrible." She smiles nostalgically for a moment before glancing back at Glitch. "Did you say kidnapped by aliens?"

"Not a curse, just a...I I annoyed the wrong wicked witch, you know how it is." That seemed to be the best way to condense the story, as far as Glitch could tell. "And yes, aliens. They've taken folks from all these different worlds and brought them to this city, sorta like a zoo. There's no way out unless they send you home. Sorry."

Anya's had an exciting life before she came here. Can you tell?

"A zoo? We're in a zoo? That's... I don't want to be in a zoo! It's bad enough I had to become human, now I'm reduced to no more than a freak in a cage for some perverted alien's amusement?" Anya is all but wailing. This is very much not what she wanted to hear, and she's rapidly becoming distraught.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" And yes, Glitch is just going to be apologizing forever and looking...just about as upset as Anya. He's glossing over the became human bit for now, more focused on - hopefully - calming her down.

"It's not...there's no cages, once you get out of that room there's a whole city and you can go where you want and do what you want and and and..." He got stuck for a moment, trying to come up with good points. "And there's a mall!"
