[The tablet flickers on, and there's a few rustling noises, like the sound of sheets being kicked and shoved off, and then, a sigh of exasperation.]

Oh, good lord. I cannot stand those god-forsaken hamsters.

[Shane is elsewhere right now, since he was just planning on letting Levi sleep. Sooo... hearing this, he waits a few minutes.]

Hey.

[Quietly:]

... Hey, babe.

... You okay?

[levilup]

I'm fine. Back to normal. How are you doing? [he's kind of hesitant, though it's clear he doesn't want to be.]

[shaneonyou]

I'm okay. I just went out so you could, uh -- sleep.

[levilup]

... You can come back, if you'd like.

[shaneonyou]

Yeah, I'll be back soon.

[levilup]

Okay. I'll be... in my room. [he's not coming out forever, he will be sitting in the dark until shane forcibly drags him out.]

It takes about ten minutes, mainly because despite being super relieved that Levi's normal again, he's feeling a little anxious after... all that. But when he does show up he has a fresh glass of the red stuff for Levi, and he's making sure to smile.

"Aw... but the ginger was cute."

Nope, Levi, not even your boyfriend is letting that one go.

The feeling of anxiety is mutual, which is silly, Levi thinks, but he can't help it. Still, Shane walks into the room holding a glass of blood, and Levi smiles, almost... shyly, standing up to greet him.

"You're only saying that," Levi says, taking the glass and kissing Shane's hand lightly.

It's unbelievably relieving to have Levi standing in front of him, whole and okay and normal, the way he's always known him. Shane grins a little, anxiety eased by this relief. Gently hooking his fingers in the front of Levi's shirt, he tugs him down a little, closing the rest of the distance by rising on his toes, and he quickly but firmly kisses the older vampire.

"Am not," he replies, smirking very slightly.

The hook and tug takes Levi by surprise, but he doesn't resist, and he's chuckling when Shane pulls back. He doesn't really want to move away, so he doesn't, leaning closer so he can rest his head against Shane's, arm slipping around his waist.

"I suppose you'll say you loved my freckles next?" Levi asks, teasing.

"I love your everything," Shane says in a quiet but very 'duh' sort of tone, letting Levi lean. "Even when you don't." And with that he grins wryly, gently poking his sire in the chest.

"So... are you gonna drink that, or what?"

[levilup]

... Awww. It'd be impossibly for the warmth in Levi's smile to increase any further at this point, and he presses another small kiss against Shane's temple. At Shane's poke, Levi snorts, and he brings to glass up to drink a sip, then offers it to Shane.

"I love you for taking care of me," Levi mumbles, closing his eyes and swaying them back and forth a little, gently, slowly. That's not all he loves him for, obviously, but it's worth saying.

Shane accepts, not taking much, then hands it back. Then he sighs, attention only on the movement for a moment. He glances up at Levi.

"Sorry about... all that," he finally says. "It wasn't too smart."

"Did it help?" Levi asks, raising an eyebrow, and it's clear this is a leading question; he has a point he's going to make. The glass is largely ignored for the moment.
