002: [Location: prowling in the southeast section of the city]

Faith'd found her bike, complete with some belongings in the hatch amounting to some makeup and stakes. Which - what more did a slayer need? Now she was jonesing for a fight, something to do to get her mind off of being cooped up again. It did not, in fact, help that there were no prison guards or bars, thanks a bunch ( Read more... )

"Planning what, exactly?" Siri asked, stepping out of the shadows after hearing the strange girl's musing.

In the Force, she could feel the girl's anxiety - over what? She didn't know. There were ways to tell, of course, but Siri was not a one to invade another's mind solely based on her own sense of curiosity or for any reason, for that matter. She didn't believe Jedi were gifted with such talents to use them in such a way.

She'd been watching this corner for a while, hidden in the shadows and blanketed by the Force. Siri was a master of stealth, thanks to her years of undercover work on top of the training she'd received from Master Adi years ago. No one would have found her unless she wanted to be found - or stepped out into the fray as she had just done now.

"Oh, you know," Faith had whirled around at the question, straightening up to take in her could-be opponent. "How to throw the sickest baby shower on a limited budget."

The quip rolled off her tongue, made her feel a lot better about this entire situation. Siri's demeanor prompted Faith to drop her stake to the side, but a second glance gave her the feeling that this woman could take care of herself regardless.

"You aren't another slayer from the future are you?" Faith was pretty sure she could only deal with the one, thank you.

Sickest baby shower on a limited budget? What...sort of euphemism was that supposed to be? The sarcasm, Siri understood, but the phrasing was one that went over her head; in one ear and out the other. She seemed to be alone her in the fact that this Earth that everyone spoke of was a complete mystery to her - as were the catch phrases and quirks that came with it's culture.

"Slayer?" She echoed. "I'm afraid not. I'm not sure what that is, but I'm a Jedi Knight."

"A knight, sure. Minus the shiny armor and horse, you fit the part," she grinned at her own quip, unfazed by the lack of affect it had on her new acquaintance.

Unfazed but not ignorant, she started to stroll to one side in an effort to circle the woman and try to see what she had in store. Faith figured talking at this point was probably a good idea, something she rarely found herself thinking.

"I'm Faith. Been here a couple weeks now, you?" She attempted to make light while figuring out if Jedi was a good thing or the opposite kind that needed a welcome wagon made of fists.

The reference was lost on Siri, someone who, while familiar with some knights of the non-Jedi type sporting armor, a horse was something she had never encountered. Had she known what one looked like, she probably would have likened it to a creature found in her galaxy, but being she was without a picture of any sort, she merely remind silent at the comment. After all, there was no need for her to confuse herself further when this situation was baffling enough in and of itself.

She allowed the other woman to circle her, not sensing any hostilities.

"Siri--and only for a few days."

This girl had been here for a few weeks? Idly, the knight wondered how long this...well, whatever was responsible for them being pulled here, had been bringing people here...

The woman seemed fairly chilled out, and Faith stopped her assessment, deciding open and blunt was more her thing.

"So Siri," she said. "You a do-gooder or do-badder?" Faith pondered the made-up word for a second. "Do-wronger," she corrected, fairly pleased with herself. She figured if this woman was planning on blood drinking or any other sort of badness, they could get to the fighting here and now. And if she was cool, then hey, Faith can make a new ally or whatever.
