The loss of Willow and Giles hit Dawn hard, but she's determined not to give into more moping. It's Christmas, she's hatched enough decorations to compete with a Walmart, she has tinsel in her hair and a steaming hot, recently hatched cup of Starbucks hot chocolate steaming away on the counter. And she's about to explain to Taxon exactly how the holidays are really meant to be celebrated.
Flipping on her tablet, she gives a tiny wave. "Greetings, fellow prisoners! I'm Dawn Summers, most of you... already know me. But anyway! As we've all noticed from how sunbathing is suddenly no longer an option, it's that time of the year again."
She pans her tablet to show the ingredients on the couter: (1) recently popped bag of kettlecorn. (1) bag of marshmallows. (6) bars of peppermint bark. (1) Can of frosting. (1) box of Oreos, with the red filling.
"Okay, holidays, yes. Christmas, Hanukkah, whatever you celebrate. But more importantly: the popcorn surprise can now be surprisingly-- and delightfully-- minty! So, you start with the kettlecorn. Some people say this doesn't matter, and you can use regular." She levels a glare at the tablet. "They would be wrong. Kettlecorn only." She pauses to pour the bag into a large bowl on the counter. "Next, the frosting." Opening said frosting and begining to spoon it into the popcorn, she grins. "Buttercream works best, but Xander is weird and likes chocolate. Now, marshmallows." In goes the entire bag. "Okay, next break your peppermint bark into pieces, and dump that in." Dusting off her hands, Dawn reaches for the Oreos. "Break these, too, then toss it all with like, a spoon or something."
Action again follows word, and now all of Taxon gets a glimpse of what could rightfully be called a Sugar Coma in a Bowl, which Dawn proceeds to eat a huge handful of.
"And that's that!" Giant sparkling smile, and Dawn dips a tiny curtsy. "Happy Holidays, you guys. Anyone who can make the trek from... wherever they are in the castle is welcome to join me!"
