Alex Drake's fingers twitched beneath her body as she pulled herself into an upright position on her feet. She moved them into her hair and massaged the sides of her head, while her eyes lazily found themselves opening again. "Gene?" She croaked and cleared her throat of whatever had been building up for however long it was she had been out. "Gene?!" Finally the scene was falling into place: a chamber of sorts that looked very.. not 1981, encased her surroundings. She turned round on her feet, glancing at the source of her coming there, and nudged a nearby pedestal with her hip.
She looked over at it, spreading her hands over the length of what looked like a tablet she'd seen out of a sort of science fiction film. "This is- this is impossible," Alex said, moving away from the pedestal. She slapped her palms against her forehead. "No. No! I've had enough of this! GET UP, ALEX!" She hissed at the glass walls, but the walls did nothing in return.
She set her jaw and glared back down at the tablet. "Fine. Lovely. Brilliant. Go on, then. Surprise me." An index finger prodded at the tablet and it lit up with a map. "Of course. A map-" before she could continue, she noticed a silver bracelet clinging to her right wrist. Her eyebrows furrowed, but the majority of her common sense told her that that was the least of her current problems.
Alex pulled the tablet from its perch and started down the steps that led away from the foreign chamber. "I don't suppose Sam had to go through something like this, did he?"
