The moment Sookie arrives, Eric is aware of it. Which is something strange in and of itself, as he'd gotten used to her being off his metaphorical blood-bond radar. When he sees her hologram on his tablet, and generally acting like she's never been in Taxon before, he arches an eyebrow at the image. Slightly confused Eric is slightly confused.
"Steve Newlin hasn't shown up just yet," he informs her smoothly, keeping his face blank, "though I honestly wouldn't be surprised at this point."
Head injury? She doesn't think so, but nonetheless raises a hand to her head, checking herself for lumps. "Last time I saw you was--" Sookie pauses, trying for a tactful phrasing here, not wanting to poke at what is surely a raw wound, "was on the rooftop of the Hotel Carmilla, Eric. There was kind of a scuffle when we took out the maenad, but no head injuries, no."
So, to the point: "Where's Taxon?" she frowns. "I'm... in a nondescript sort of hallway that I've never seen before."

"Shown up where, Eric? Where are we?"
Subtext: What've you gotten me into this time?

He catches that implication and rolls his eyes. Why does everyone always assume it's his fault? Damnably prejudicial of people.
