The word 'party' was pretty much a magical, musical word to Cordelia's ears. And costumes! Well, of course she would wear one - although her choice wasn't something expected of her, actually.

Gunning for the whole 'irony' thing, Cordelia had decided to be a nun for the party. She wasn't wearing an extremely longish dress - after all, she did want to show off this gorgeous pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes she'd hatched earlier. Whoever said that nuns couldn't be solemn and stylish at the same time ought to be shot. Really.

Cordelia looked around her, trying to see if any of her friends had come to the party. God, they'd better - or else there would be hell to pay. She was looking forward to a night of fun and drinks with the people she loved, after all!

It was easy to recognize Cordelia, even in the nun outfit. Probably because she was one of the few in Taxon that was so bright and... bouncy. Sheppard made his way over to her, his drink in his hand (that was shaken not stirred, thank you).

"Chase." He nodded to her. "Never thought I'd see a fashionable Nun." At least he assumed it was fashionable. Cordelia was that type of woman.

"Well, you're looking at one, obviously." She grinned and winked at him. Should nuns even wink at guys? Well, there's a thought.

Cordelia raised a brow at him. "Let me guess. Either you're James Bond or a guy going to a wedding. It can go either way."

Sheppard chuckled. "Kind of obvious. What other guy walks around in a suite with a drink? Though I guess I should go get roughed up. Would look more like him."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a deck of cards. "Casino Royale anyone?"

She frowned a bit at the Casino Royale part - to be honest, she wasn't fond of action movies. Never mind that all the guys who played James Bond were all kinds of hot.

"I could punch you, if you want," she joked. "I've been told I have a mean right hook." Okay, not really, but she did punch Angel hard enough for the vampire to worry about his face swelling, so it should count!

Cordelia glanced at the door and shivered. "I know, right? The aliens must have thought it was appropriate. But, geez. I had to run just to get here quicker. Not easy, in these shoes."

Sheppard glanced own at her shoes and shrugged a bit. "Gotta wonder why they just now decided to turn on the weather. They're a month or so late. At least there isn't a Headless Horseman running around."

"Hey!" she replied, one eyebrow raised in protest. "I can be a good nun! I just need to... internalize the role a bit, you know. Embrace the solemnity of faith and all that. It takes a bit of time."
