Mohinder had been watching the fire in front of him. As Peter patted him on the shoulder and turned to go, Mohinder decided he had enough as well. But at soon as he pivoted on his feet, the funeral scene at Coyote Sands was gone.

He was in a room with lots of shiny metal and his first thought was that this sort of thing was unhappily familiar.

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!” Mohinder exclaimed, stepping off the pad. He didn’t feel any drugs in his system, nothing to change his state of awareness, which meant he was simply somewhere else.

And this meant he was either taken out of his own time for some reason, or there was a teleporter other than Hiro, and he’d somehow pissed the man off. “Hello?” he asked, annoyed. He could have at least had a day to catch his breath, but he supposes he shouldn't have expected it. “Who’s keeping me here? You have no right.”

He would’ve gone on, but he saw the tablet on the pedestal, waiting for him to pick up. The inexplicable nature of it just put him more on edge- oddly, the door opening when he picked the tablet up had the same effect. “What is this?” he asked cautiously.
