Saval's still having trouble adjusting to this whole 'living amongst humans' thing. They're all loud and obnoxious and emotional and they touch each other too much, and even when it's honestly not that bad at all, he's so illogically determined to sulk about this that he's convinced it's like living in a cage full of monkeys.
What really bothers him though, more than anything, is the way he can't make himself useful at all. He's always been able to find some demand for his skills before, but here, his medical license is next to worthless. His experience with human anatomy is limited to a single xenobiology course that he'd taken back in med school. He'd gotten a B minus.
But sitting around and taking advantage of the free food and not contributing anything in return is simply not an option. For one, it would get really boring.
Finally, after a bit of waffling (or 'logical internal debate,' as he'd rather think of it), he sends a video message out over the general network.
"To anyone who may be in charge of or affiliated with Taxon's medical facilities, I would like to offer my services as a physician. I am a surgeon, specializing in cardiology, but my skills are versatile." He pauses.
"However, my experience with treating human patients is limited, and I would require some assistance in that regard. If anyone can suggest literature that might be helpful, I would be most appreciative." Hell, he's got to start somewhere.
