While Buffy was busy making plans involving death and destruction, Godric was attempting to contact Faith directly in order to apologize for his part in the whole mess and make sure she was recovering. He doubted she'd appreciate it, but it was a gesture he felt he had to make. Part of treating humans as equals was apologizing when it was owed.

"Faith? Are you available to talk?" He hoped she was at least awake, bedridden, and bored enough to hear him out by this point.
