"I'm ready." Sam leaned across the console to call back the others. In a few more moments she'd find out if this had actually worked. If so they would all, save Teal'C reclaim the last fifty years, if not, well no one would be around to blame her.
"Do it, Sam." Mitchell gave her the nod, and she signaled to the Jaffa that it was time. Teal'C enclosed himself in the stasis field and Carter pushed the switch across the Asgard console, engaging the device. Light flashed and the ship hurled itself back in time, Teal’C stepping up to change the course of the Odyssey before the Ori blast could endanger them once again. Avoiding the same happening, except Samantha Carter was nowhere to be seen.
"Did it work?" Sam looked around her, this was not the bridge of the Odyssey, and she wasn't anywhere she recognized. It sort of looked like something on the worlds they had been to where the Ancients had left technology. But that was more Daniel's area than hers. She didn't identify things, she made them work. Sam Carter was the engineering brain of the unit and right now she was without the unit. She was cut off and separated from the rest of SG-1 and she didn't even have a weapon on her.
"Ok, time to get a look around." She wasted no time in surveying her surroundings, small round room, with a large mechanical device overhead. Looked like some sort of central control module. But that was just a gut instinct in her. With all the feeds coming into it, it made sense. Also..what was this? A small tablet computer rested on a table. When she reached for it she noted the glimmer of silver at her wrist. Ignoring the tablet for the moment she pulled her hand back to inspect the new decoration. It was seamlessly adhered to her skin. Even running her nails across it she could not feel where her skin ended and it began. "Ok, so I've been tagged..how about that whole releasing to the wild part."
Normally General O'Neill or Cam made the jokes, but in a pinch she had a few zingers, and being alone she would call this a pinch. So she was likely going to be tracked and monitored, best not to mess with it just yet, until she understood her situation. Sam had a sudden flashback to late night movies where people were hunted for sport. She shook her head, pull it together Carter, You're a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force for gods sake. Carter shook off the willies and picked up the device she'd been about to inspect before getting distracted. It was a tablet computer, obviously. It looked like some sort of communications device as well.
The instant she picked it up a door opened and she could see into the hall beyond. As much as she would have wanted to stay and look further through the room, she took the hint and walked out, the door closing behind her to vanish into the solid wall. There was no going back now. Her name flashed across the top of the table's screen and she tapped at it, showing her the connection indicator and letting her know she was broadcasting; it seemed to have different modes but had defaulted to a visual camera with full audio.
First things first, establish where she was, who was here, and find a place to hole up if necessary. "This is Lieutenant Colonel Samantha Carter with the United States Air Force, other military personnel please respond."
Well here was hoping. While she waited Sam walked the perimeter of the building, working her way outward to a large lobby area.
