Thus, by the time she shows up, looking at the trains like they're about to disappear as quickly as came and running a hand along all the new buildings and pieces, she looks just as out of place as the trains themselves.

When River gets there, Tonks grins at her, bouncing excitedly on her heels.
"Whose is what, the trains? No idea."

"Independent anomaly," she says as she touches the side of the bench, eyes on the ground. "Conservation of matter, mass." Then she's looking back up at Tonks very seriously. "Had to come from somewhere."

"Well yes, I'd assume so, but things come out of nowhere from those hatch-things, too." Tonks says thoughtfully, tilting her head at River. "I wouldn't know much about the physics part, though."

"There's instigation-- Promethial. Sparks and even feeding five thousand with more left over required intervention... Causation. Finding the spark is a priority."
