The blinking pad now showed the image of the human, her voice was more shaky than she would have cared to hear. Her pulse pistol was lowered, taken in one hand, but not returned to the holster at her thigh. She had seen him, so many times, heard him in her mind ever since... ever since he died.
"A key, out of here?" She seemed rather dubious to that, but something about seeing him, regardless which version, made her trust him on some level. "Where am I?" Half convinced this was some trick of the Scorpius to use her to retrieve John.

"You don't get out the door without the tablet, Aeryn. It's kinda like a guide, map, communicator for this place all rolled in to one. It's kinda their way of ensuring you keep it, I guess."
John pulled at the bridge of his nose, "Where are we? 'S a good question. All I know is it's called Taxon, it's a city. People reckon it's underground, and so far - no way out."
