Routine
Paul would leave
30 Minutes
Into the bathroom
And come back out
Only to go to bed
John,
Being the curious sot he was
Could only
Investigate
Further

Paul is
Silent
John is
Crying
It's not like him.
Paul,
The one with
Crimson
Slashes
Up and down
His once
Milky white arms.
John,
The one with
Tear-stained
Cheeks
Hands tightening
Around his
Hips
Paul breaks down
Tells John everything
From the epicenter
To the focus
To the ground breaking suicide
'Daddy said I wasn't beautiful'
'Daddy said I wouldn't make it'
'Daddy said nobody would ever love me'
'Daddy said I might as well go and kill myself'
'Daddy said he hated me.'
John can't help it
He smiles
Leans in to kiss
Paul's pouty and trembling lips
Whispering
'Daddy was dead wrong'

Are presented with

Than a beautiful boy
Paul is in tears,
John is kissing Paul's wrists,
And sweet, darling little
Generation Lennon
Squirms in Paul's arms,
Begging for the attention
He so desperately wants
After nine months of waiting.
