Day 3, of my new Mormon-esque lifestyle

Mar 11, 2005 16:57

Well, I'm still alive after all, so that's a good sign. I'm going to see Robots tonight. While you may be thinking gasp, G movies have also become part of my new lifestyle, in fact this is complete coincidence...I swear.

But I still am being very "good." I got called to go out last night. Apparently every cute girl in town was 4 blocks from my house at a club night called LICK. I very nonchalantly ignored the message and continued watching a compelling episode of The Contender. This morning, my friend, who had in fact gone to LICK, was not at her apartment when I went to go borrow her car. When she did show up, she looked like she had just finished a rockstar night of drinking and dancing, and I felt like the straight edge friend. I can't wait until I fall off the wagon because it is definitely going to be a good time.

ANd it's only Day 3.

Today the only transgender attorney I know of in Seattle met with me at his office and we discussed how gender expression is actually more of a factor in not being hired at Seattle firms these days than LGBT identification is. That is, there are plenty of LGBT attorneys working at firms but they are all clearly Male or Female and not butch dykes or femme-y gays....or whatever there is in between. Maybe he's right. I'm pretty sure he is.
