OK, I have sat on my duff long enough (hey, that rhymes). Time to do something deeper and meaningful with myself and with this LJ.
This is to kick off a series of writings on Cougar traits, and how they apply to Cougar people, including myself. Not sure how many of these will eventually be written, but I have at least three or four article ideas lined up. The first might come in just a couple of days. I'm going to call this series "What Would Cougar Do?"
I want to keep it light and informal here. Everything you'll read will be my observations, sometimes based on research, and a lot of times based on a hunch or just flat-out opinion. And it's all just a self-discovery piece, so please don't think that I'm preparing a thesis. Not that you would think that anyway.
You'll also notice that sometimes I will describe the "inverse" of a particular trait. I do believe that any trait, no matter how positive, can be a double-edged sword. This is known as the Icarus Paradox where a strength, taken too far, can become a weakness. For instance, if you are ambitious, then taken too far, you can been seen as power-hungry.
Of course, post commentary, if you'd like. Refinements to my insights, corrections, clarifications, and criticisms to my ramblings, just a hello, whatever. Nothing would make me happier than (1) to know someone took the time to read this, and even better, (2) know someone cared enough to reply.
Not a cougar yourself, or even a kitty? Wonderful! It would be fantastic to get insights from as many sources as possible. Care to compare and contrast with your chosen species? Please, do so! It's all fair game here!
