Stormeee Weather...
Lordy, it's nasty outside.
I walked to the grocery store to pick up dishwashing detergent, coffee, and soymilk. when I started my walk, it was 30 degrees F outside, and kind of halfheartedly pissing cold, slushy rain down. I needed caffeine, and some exercise, so I set out anyway. As I walked, the rain got more and more insistent, and needly cold on my face; so cold I was getting an ice cream headache. I ended up at the natural foods store, since the cheap grocery store is further away and the rain was getting worse and worse.
Picked up coffee and a few dinner ingredients, and set out on what felt like the longest mile and a half I'd ever walked. There were ice pellets hitting my face like BBs the whole time, and my hat, scarf and jacket were soaked by the time I got home.
Thanks to the grossness of it all outside, tonight i'm making vegetarian chicken noodle soup, and homemade nutty oatmeal bread. Normally a daunting task, but right now the bread machine is kneading the seitan, and later it'll do the bulk of the work with the bread, too. If it turns out anything like my mom's chicken noodle soup, I'll post the recipe. I have a plan, but I'm sort of playing it by ear.
