INQUISITION IN AMERICA - PART ONE

Jan 22, 2007 04:06

“This Order has existed already in the most remote times and it has manifested its activity secretly and openly in the world under different names and in various forms: it has caused social and political revolutions and proved to be the rock of salvation in times of danger and misfortune. It has always upheld the banner of freedom against tyranny ( Read more... )

LAW is for ALL, not just us peons. eyeconoplastic January 22 2007, 17:16:07 UTC
Good law quotes.

Crowley never intended a Supreme and Holy King to rule unjustly, without regard to rule of LAW.

What extreme irony does the hubris of the current mismanagers show that an Order based on a book of Law could be ruled by autocratic decree devoid of adherence to established bylaws and legislation?

The latter three paragraphs of your essay bash down the hypocrisy in the neo-Revolution as castrated by King Baz.

Well done. A "Revolutionary" whose actions must first pass inspection by the King he's revolting against is at best, sheer idiocy and transparent hypocrisy. At best it is an ego-toy for a weak, undeserving, conceitedly malfeasant ruler.

What sort of trepidation, insecurity and fear of the EC's power must the Exec have?

What exactly does the Exec think the EC might "pull" unsupervised and unleashed?

Very curious.

As far as I can tell, the only person I know in that photo is Bill Padgett. Do you know what he's up to these days?

Last I heard Bil and Susan (that's her to Bil's left in the picture) were living in Alaska. As far as I know Bil is still in contact with one or to people from the old days, but has left Magick, Thelema, and OTO far behind.

I'm glad that he seems to be doing ok. I only met him back at around the time that picture was taken, but I liked him.
