Tonight! On AC360 (02/10)

Oct 03, 2009 02:55

1. Top story tonight! David Letterman.

The alleged blackmailer is a CBS producer. Annnnd - here's Tom Foreman to stand in front of the Giant Wall of News to explain more. And then uses the Magic Wall to give us a timeline.

Dude pleads not guilty.

Oh, wow, look at this - Tom is actually in the studio with Anderson. He's normally broadcasting from DC.

Erica with a Crime & Punishment report about various celebrity blackmail plots.

ETA: I'm so disappointed that CNN sometimes uses TMZ as a source.

Digging Deeper with Lou Palumbo (who still disappoints me by not being called Columbo) and Stephen G Rodriguez (a lawyer).

I'm not really sure why Anderson is putting this much emphasis on the case. To be fair, though, he is a magazine show, after all.

2. Erica's Bulletin: Rio won the Olympics, Chicago went out in the first round. Two survivors pulled out a building in Indonesia 40 hours after the 'quakes. Proof of life video of a Israeli soldier snatched three years ago. A guy skipped out on his date and then stole the woman's car.

3. Afghanistan! WaPo says that the Administration and the UN are thinking about a policy change.

Raw Politics with David Gergen and Peter Bergen. Their names shouldn't amuse me so much.

The General wants a lot more troops. The administration don't want to send them. Disagreements all round.

4. Keeping Them Honest: Texas. Randi Kaye asks - did Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) cover up an investigation that lead to an innocent man being executed?

5. And. We're back to Letterman. Up Close on office affairs.

I don't even know, you guys. ETA: And now Drew Pinkett is here to talk about workplace affairs and so forth.

*dies* Anderson: When did my hair become whiter than Doctor Drew's? Anyone? When did that happen.
Erica: *laughs*
Anderson: I used to have salt'n'pepper hair, what happened to the pepper?

I can't even, you guys, how is a grown man so adorable?

6. Doctor Sanjay Gupta Keeping Them Honest: evil insurance companies are evil.

7. Erica's Bulletin Redux: McCain's campaign runner told John King (♥) that Palin would be a bad choice for 2012. Todd Palin quits his "oil job" (seriously, that's the way Erica worded it). Unemployment rate hits 9.8%. Madoff's family being sued for $200 million.

8. They go to set up the Shot and Erica does a whole bit about Anderson and the hair. ♥

And the real Shot is laughing quadruplets. - Guys, Anderson is so clucky over babies recently. It's adorable.

N'aww. Anderson wished us all a good weekend. ♥

heal me doctor gupta!, ac360: tom foreman - our man in dc, love a pundit: anderson cooper, ac360: peter bergen - our man elsewhere, tonight! on ac360
