Thank the movie Gods - people
are talking about Alex Skarsgard as Thor. Because - so much yes. I've been saying it since the first episode of GenKill.
Look at it this way: he's something like 6'4, he's actually Nordic, he's a damned good actor and he's ridiculously Godlike. I really cannot see any other actor in the role, I swear to God.
I will be so disappointed if Ken Branagh doesn't realise this.
(as an aside: Matt Keeslar, otherwise known as The Middleman, has been my Captain America since part way through the series. I think he's almost a perfect fit. Of course, they'll probably cast Matt Damon, who'd be fine, but Matt would just be...more interesting.)
(Aside to the aside: and, anyway, Marvel really need to think carefully when casting the actors that they're going to want to use in the Avengers movie as well - too many big names and I guarantee they'll end up not having the money. So cast a couple of up-and-comers, Marvel directors, they'll be infinitely cheaper and you might just discover something golden. You're already going to be wrangling RDJ and, possibly, crazy Ed Norton so...)
