It was a seriously brilliant weekend despite the horrific cold on Friday, the rain and fog on Saturday and the unexpected violent winds of Sunday.
We played Thingball, which was awesome and active, and we played cricket on Sunday which made myself and Tom v. Happy. Saturday was devoted to us truly proving we were from 'the Internet' (as Alex helpfully told some old guy on Friday) - many of us retired to Ollie's tent for Mario Kart DS (which was a lot of fun and involved a lot of swearing and sometimes violently attacking the other players) and the rest to the Kenti tent for creation of pen and paper role playing games.
And then we watched Doctor Who. (Which, I'm sorry flist, I hated again. This season is just falling apart for me. At least I have SPOILERS to look forward to next week)
Sunday we endured Epic Tent Fail and amazingly managed to deconstruct all the tents without losing bits. Huzzah! Then we went to Matlock and rushed a cafe in the park when it opened for breakfast. Cricket was had, as I said, then we eventually went our separate ways after much hugging* and manly ass-slapping.
Good weekend. And I look forward to next year.
These guys really do feature amongst my greatest friends and there are a couple that probably know me better than anyone I've ever known offline. I love them all dearly, to be honest. They are shiny, happy, wonderful people.
