001. My happy place for weeks is going to be Daniel Craig in a three-piece suit making every man around him doubt their sexuality. ♥
*fans self*
(And bless him, really, with the continuous sexual harassment and it's well known that he's uncomfortable with being a sex object and Russell Brand just wanted to feel him up and cuddle him and sit on his lap and poor Daniel had to sit there, blushing, and pretending that he wasn't that freaked out. And then when Brand goes back to the green room Daniel's disappeared because he's got a great sense of timing)
Of course we all know that Wossy's been hiding his latent gayness for years. And when I say hiding I mean he's as transparent as glass.
002. Really should get to that Brocklehurst/Bond VI fic. And
yuletide. Yeah. That should come first I guess. (But at least I gave Brocklehurst an outing, with sexing, recently so he's not all frustrated with the waiting)
003. I've been recced a few times in the
lifein1973 Rec Fortnight and for that I am very grateful. I was pretty prolific in LoM at the beginning but I've tapered off since so it's nice to know that some people appreciate my fic. It does amuse me that the pieces that have been recced are my two Ficathon entries and last year's holiday exchange story.
(I am so annoyed with myself for forgetting about
martianholiday this year.
lozenger8 if you need any pinch-hits I am totally available. If it's something you think I can write that is)
004. I am leading Operation Christmas Tree in my house this year. In Aus we used to have a real tree ever year but since we've moved here that tradiotion has gone right out the window (the price!). This year, as it's entirely possible that this will be the last 'family' Christmas in England, I have taken it upon myself to buy a real tree.
There's a garden shop pretty much four doors down from our house and he gets trees every year so it'll be easy enough logistically. I brought my Dad in on the plan as there's no chance I could lug a tree even that short way down the road with my weak arms.
So next Saturdau, when Mum would normally put up the fake tree, Dad and I are going to get my Sister to take her out and sneak up the road for a tree. I'm looking forward to her reaction.
I've been telling them for weeks that I'm getting the best Family Christmas present ever. :)
005. I go back to work on Sunday. *sadface* I've really got to write something publishable so that I can quit my job. Work sucks. For reals.
006. If you're not watching Pushing Daisies (should you have the ability) then you are completely mad. I hear that ITV have picked it up to be shown next year so those with just terrestrial should see it then at least. But shame on you if you can watch it and aren't.
I refer to it as my Weekly Hug now - as it never fails to leave me feeling happy inside.
I know I've got it bad because when I think about it - it's pretty much my favourite show on TV right now. Including SGA. And definitely on my Top Five, should I choose one.
WATCH IT!
007. Watched Casino Royale (and Edward Scissorhands, wonderful!) with a friend today. I had begun to think that Bond could no longer fill me with glee until this film came along. Mr Craig said on Jonathan Woss this evening that they're about to start rehearsals for filming in January. Which means new Bond November 2008 if they stick to form.
*bounces*
It's always nice to have your faith restored. I hope Mr Craig makes several more Bond films - as long as they're as good as Casino Royale.
008. I really hate what they appear to have done to 'The Golden Compass' and I've realised the thing that really pisses me off is not removing the God stuff, or even changing the Iorek voice actor - it really comes down to the fact that they're calling the Aleithometer 'the golden compass' now. Because that's almost like taking the soul out of the book.
Unfortunately for me I think I will cave in my resistance and end up seeing it - for the daemons and Mr Craig.
Next thing I'll be caving in and saying I'll watch Ashes To Ashes. (seriously - this is Philip Glenister, after all, and, dammit, Keeley Hawes and I haven't been able to resist either since I first saw them (Hornblower and Touching Velvet respectively). It's Gene Hunt! As anyone who's read my fic knows - I'm pretty much all about the Gene Hunt)
(You can tell I love the Bond franchise too much because I feel bad about 008 - he was always better than Bond, after all)
