A Miscellany for May 10th

May 10, 2007 23:23

One. Dave Gorman's "Genius" is genius.

Two. I may be seeing Jon Richardson(!) and Adam Hills(!!) previewing their Edinburgh shows(!!!) in Nottingham on the 10th of June. With my sister, hopefully. Anyone else want to meet up?

Three. oneuseonly - last night I dreamt that there were zombies (amongst other thngs) under Whitley High. Garedd was the only one who believed me when I went running through the school (after escaping, natch) trying to tell people. He did this, I believe, because he recognised me.

I also made him look a lot cooler in my dream.... I don't know what that means. ¬___¬

Four. Of all the canon het pairings out there I think Angela and Hodgins is the one I like best. It's just so...squishy. I should stress for anyone reading that that I'm only up to date with the episodes on SkyOne. No spoilers if you watch from the States, please.

Five. The Crumpet was in The Last Detective tonighht. I cannot wait to watch it because it'll be brilliant to see British Jamie Bamber again.

Six. I should not, upon my first viewing of Hard Boiled, be slashing the two male leads. Even if it would be totally awesome. On a reality note - most awesome action film ever. Seriously. Better than Die Hard. I can totally see why Pegg and Co love it.

Seven. The Hot Fuzz DVD looks to be made of awesome. It has a fantastic extras list. On the day we went to see it I was heard saying to my sister "Is it wrong to not be able to wait for the DVD of a movie before you see it?" And when I came out of the film one the first things I said, apart from "That was so totally awesome!!1!", was "I can't wait for the DVD".

Eight. They've released a bigger Piratey Norrington figure. I am so buying it. There's also one being released with the AWE figures. Which is cool. Yay for Norrington.

Nine. I know I owe comments going back, like, months. I'm going to get to them - if it's the last thing I do. Well...maybe not the last thing. That'd be a crappy last thing to do.

Ten. There is no Ten.

Eleven. My neck is less painful - however now my old shoulder injury has been supremely aggravated and hurts continuously. And I had to call today. Does anyone know of a decent job going in the Whitley Bay area?

Gods I want to work in a bookstore.

Twelve. Anecdote - I was walking home from Whitley Bay proper yesterday and it started to rain. I was pleading for it to not because I had not an umbrella to shield myself with. Just as I got to the Marine Park apartments I suddenly thought "Gee - I wish the Doctor could pick me up in his TARDIS or something. Maybe even stop the rain. He cold totally do that". And, like someone turning off a garned tap, the rain stopped.

I swear on anything that counts - I very nearly actually stopped and said "Doctor?" I was that weirded out. I didn't, of course, because there were people nearby.

Thirteen. I bought Buble's new CD yesterday. I do love him so. I also bought Justice For All but as I haven't finished Ace Attorney yet (still! I think I'm getting there now though) I can't start it. I do get *Gant Clap* now. (And Edgeworth/Wright FTW! ;D)

Right. Now I'm off to contemplate whether or not I can justify spending £20 on toys from Amazon.
