par·a·site \păr'ə-sīt'\

An organism that lives in or on another organism (the host) from which it gets some or
all of its nourishment. Parasites are generally harmful to their hosts, although the
damage they cause ranges widely from minor inconvenience to debilitating or fatal
disease.

en·do·par·a·site \ĕn'dō-păr'ə-sīt'\

Any parasite which lives in the internal organs of an animal, such
as tapeworms, Plasmodium, babies, etc.
