[TM] Phone Calls Coming and Going

Xander rubbed the back of his head hard with the heel of his hand. Oz and him had been making phone calls, and mostly leaving messages with everyone that he could sort out needed to know the truth. Orlando was still making arrangements Xander was sure, but it wasn't the point to fill everyone in on the details. It was just to let them know that

It's been a long time since Sunnydale. So is a bit awkward to be talkin' to Xander. Even more so since he clearly has grown up a bit more. Seems to be a bit more mature, and is certainly being Mr. Responsible with the helping out with Cordelia's funeral. "Good to hear it's gonna be at night. The sun allergic guests won't need any flame-retardant suits then."

Having changed a bit himself since the old Scooby days of annoyin' Harris all the time. Bein' a bit more soulful and all, try's to think of something thoughtful to say. "Don't think I get to say this very often. Or least not to you. Thanks for helpin' out with Cordy's funeral. Am sure it can't be easy for you. Arranging a funeral has gotta be stressful as hell. But helpin' take most of that burden off Orlando is a good thing. Do remember what a wreck Buffy was when her mum died. Funeral's aren't very comfortable occasions for anyone. Least not for a girl so young.... and full of life."

"Oh, and while your in Beantown. After the funeral, maybe we could go out for drinks. Boston has allot more bars than Sunny-D. More bars, equal more liquor. And more liquor is always a good thing. 'Specially when you wanna try to forget how sucky life is sometimes. And with how craptacular things have been for most of our friends... any fun distraction is somethin' everyone needs."
