surgery
hey guys i just wanted to let you all know that i finally settled on a surgeon and a date. i am going to be having top surgery in Sept of 2007 with Dr. Garramone in Plantation FL. though i do have some reservations about the distance inwill have to ride in a car. i think that he is the best option for me. the surgery has been estimated at 5,500 dollars and i will have to be in the area for a max of about 14 days.
i consulted with Dr. Fee in Jacksonville but he since then has decided that he is no longer doing FTM top surgeries.
i also sent pictures into Dr. Fiala and i was given an estimate of 8,500. I felt that this quoate was unreasonable. the ladies at his office however said that this is an inflated estimate and at the time of physically going to the office and consulting a more realistic figure would be provided. though the office staff girls are nice and warm they aren't really the best about getting back with you and meeting time lines they set. for example i sent in my pictures before thanksgiving and they told me about three diffrent occasions that i was suppose to get the quote, i didn't get it until friday of last week.
Dr. G has always gotten back to me in a timely maner and i have had to pleasure to speak with him personally on several occasions. he has done a surgical roatation in a gender center and he wants to make himself someone in the FTM niche. i have seen a few pics of his work and they looked pretty good. i am looking forward to meeting him in person and having surgery.
