MiDFur Photos and Report
A bit late, but I've finally had the chance to go over the photos taken at MiDFur, so here they are =)

MiDFur was great fun! and it was fantastic meeting everyone there =)
It was my first in Melbourne and first MiDFur, so it was definitely a very positive experience, I'll definitely be attending again next year (or this year rather) =D
well here is my short report, with illustrations, of MiDFur X =)
setting off from Sydney on the 10th Dec, with Borko and Temba in my car, along with Atpaw on his motorbike and Enigma and Koneko in another car we set off in convoy towards Melbourne. We stopped in Canberra that night to have dinner with a few Canberra furs and spent the night in Yass at Moski's house. The following day we continued the trip down to Melbourne taking the more 'scenic route' which involved seeing how our cars handled on roads which werent exactly straight and flat, lol =P
we arrived at the Victoria Hotel at about 8pm that night.
Friday 12th Dec
The night before (11th Dec) but I didn't stay at the hotel that night, rather stayed at my mate's house. We returned to the Victoria Hotel on Friday morning, got the car parked at the hotel (the parking attendant was weird), checked in, completed registration and got settled for the rest of the weekend =)
the first event was a trip to the Eureka Skydeck, it was raining so the view was mostly obscured unfortunately but nevertheless we could see most of the main landmarks around Melbourne's CBD.
that night was the Meet And Greet, essentially the opening ceremony for MiDFur X =)
It was really good to have Uncle Kage and 2 Gryphon as Guests of Honour this year!
Saturday 13th Dec
It was once again raining in Melbourne, so some of the morning events like the BBQ had to be cancelled unfortunately. However, later in the afternoon we went on a trip to Melbourne Zoo. It wasn't too bad, despite still raining. They had lions, thats all that matters =P
one of the biggest events of the weekend was the MiDFur Gala Ball, it was held at the Hifi Bar around the corner from the hotel. There was a nice dinner with entertainment by Uncle Kage and 2 Gryphon =) This was followed by a dance which went on into the night. Fursuit dancing FTW! =D
Sunday 14th Dec
Sunday was the first convention day. I was only able to make it to one panel, of course it had to be the fursuiting panel, attended in fursuit too, lol =P
During the day,
atpaw setup a fursuit photoshoot, so spent most of my day hanging around in there. The cat was able to get some very nice photos of the fursuiters! =)

as an unofficial event I joined a few fursuiters for a short walk around Melbourne in the afternoon, it was quite fun seeing how normal people react when a group of fuzzy animals wonder down the street =P
Sunday night's entertainment started with the fursuit parade, not a huge number of fursuiters, but still quite a few =) This was followed by the 'No Talent Night' with a few small skits. And of course the night was made memorable by the comedy of Uncle Kage and 2 Gryphon together on stage =)
Monday 15th Dec
The last day of MiDFur. I didn't get a chance to see many of the panels, but once again it was good just chatting with friends I haven't seen in a while, both in and out of fursuit =)
went around for another walk around Melbourne in fursuit again =P we were able to get some nice photos with some landmarks around Melbourne, like Flinders St station and the Eureka Tower etc =)
The closing ceremony was definitely one to remember, with Uncle Kage as the auctioneer for the charity art auction. It was pretty cool seeing everyone chip in for the MiDFur poster at the end! =P The dead dog party was a nice ending to the weekend, with some more socialising and the signing of someone ute =P
After MiDFur I started in Melbourne for an additional week to spend time with my mate. General Melbourne sightseeing, including Werribee Zoo and the Great Ocean Road, aswell as catching up with some Melbourne fur friends too =)
MiDFur X was a fantastic weekend, and for the first furry convention style meet in Australia went off very well =)
So hope to see everyone again in Melbourne for MiDFur 2009! =D
